Simroid, which worth $635,000 was built by Kokoro Company Ltd in Japan. It is one of the attractions at the International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo. Simroid is a dental patient robot developed as a dummy patient for dental students in Japan.
Simroid can talk, follow instructions given by the dentist, and her chest will rose and fell as though she was breathing. She reacts like human beings would when treated by a dentist. Example: she would express out that hurts when the dentist pressed her tooth too hard with a tool by blinking.
